ive nothing against the solid system, but adams idea of being based on "respect" just didnt seem like a very adam carr thing to say.

i think the system is fair(if a little exploitative) but the fact is that the competition around college is gonna be entirely stupid.

I'm not really sure how everything is going to work out but according to Steve the proceedure will be as follows.

The band that sells the most tickets gets to say when they want to go on (if last year is anything to go by nobody seemed to want to go on last). The next biggest sellers will then choose and so on. I can't see how else it's going to be sorted out, you certainly can't leave it to a handfull of opinions as to who is the most credible bands.

I think his biggest problem will be deciding who plays on what stage as everyones egos will want to play on the BIG STAGE, cause it's got the word big in it.

I hope it can all be sorted out with good humour though, after all, it is only supposed to be a party. The best thing to do would be to bring it all up with Steve on the night of the press conference so everyone can have their say.

Sam, I would have to be exempt from your "penalty box" idea cause I would have to re-mortgage my fucking house before I got half way through my set.

well we aint bothered on where we play but we will b going full out on christmas stuff so i wouldnt want to be the band after us if you guys aint gina do anything esspecially for the night (i know you are ed, we need to sort it out soon)

how the hell do the rip offs afford all this crazy stuff? IE giant banner, t-shirts etc.
My dad remembers when solid where in a shifty little make-shift office/shed and wouldnt even give your tickets to your face lol. theyd pop them through their letter box. 22 bands?! i wont believe that till someone lists them

we got the banner from one of the bands dads so it was pretty cheap. tee shirts were just amazing lol and we dont keep any of the money we get paid, instead we keep it in the band

What I find most amusing is that you and stand are playing that gig at the Packhorse in leeds, which is quite literally on the corner at the end of my road. So I think it is safe to say I will be able to make it.
